Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette contains three beautiful Ambient Lighting powders. This palette was originally a limited edition holiday item, then due to popular demand and success, they’ve re-launched the ambient lighting palette as part of the permanent line which is fantastic!

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette was also a holiday launch for 2014, and I’m hoping Hourglass decides to also include this as part of their permanent line!

The consistency of these powders are extremely beautiful; very soft to the touch and finely milled.  This results in a beautiful soft-focused looking application, which gives the skin an almost air brushed effect, looking very natural and soft which I love.

The packaging is very pretty and luxe with the shiny covers, including a mirror for on-the-go application. The material is plastic and light weight, which I don’t mind as opposed to a heavy metal casing.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette colours:

  • Dim Light: neutral peach beige
  • Incandescent Light (exclusive to this palette), opalescent pearl
  • Radiant Light: sun-kissed golden beige

This beautiful trio is my most used makeup product in my entire collection.  I use it everyday and layer it over the Hourglass blushes, to blur and give me that soft-focused look, I just love it!  It gives such a beautiful healthy glow and more youthful appearance.   I use Dim Light as an all over powder, followed by Incandescent Light as a highlight to the tops of my cheekbones.   I absolutely love Incandescent Light and hope that Hourglass adds this to their permanent Ambient Lighting powder line-up!

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette comes in a similar packaging but in a chrome gold colour. Very luxurious in my opinion!   This limited edition palette includes the following colours:

  • Luminous Flush (champagne rose)
  • Incandescent Electra (cool peach)
  • Mood Exposure (soft plum}

My favourite of the trio is ‘Incandescent Electra’, it’s a nice soft cool-peach tone, very light and girly!   Such a beautiful fresh pop of colour on the cheeks!   Update:  great news, this colour is now available as part of their permanent line up!!   I picked this up as part of my recent Sephora haul and just realized that it’s the same colour, so I’m super happy about that 🙂

I just love these Hourglass palettes and Hourglass Cosmetics!  What do you think of these palettes? Have you tried them?

*All products were purchased by me and reflect my own honest opinions 🙂 Looove!!
